Who We Are
Jack and Garnet moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 2015 in an effort to be less lame and spend more time playing outside. It turns out the rumors regarding Utah having the best snow and some of the best outdoors recreation on the planet were true.
Originally from Texas, Jack works as an engineer for a local outdoors brand. In 2018, Garnet graduated from the University of Utah with her MBA and currently works for a consulting company.
Recognizing an unmet local need, Jack and Garnet decided to found Utah Dry Suits in 2023. Leveraging Jack's background in outdoor recreation equipment and Garnet's business skills, they work to provide the growing canyoneering and whitewater community with quality and affordable gear.
Working together, they developed one of the only canyoneering specific dry suits on the market. Key features not found in other dry suits include ankle gaskets instead of integrated booties which are prone to failure; reinforcing the seat and knees; and integrating relief zippers on both men's and women's suits.
